In the case of exceptional circumstances

AMA CPD Home is committed to supporting you to meet your CPD requirements throughout the year.  

We understand that there may be times when exceptional circumstances create unreasonable burdens on doctors, impinging on the ability to meet mandatory CPD within the calendar year. 

If you find yourself in this position, as a subscriber with AMA CPD Home, you can apply for an exemption of your mandatory CPD during the CPD year of your exceptional circumstances.

AMA CPD Application Process

  1. Read the Exemption Policy to determine if you qualify for a full or partial exemption.
  2. To apply, login to your CPD Home account and complete the ‘Exemption Application Form’ found in the ‘Learning Resources’ menu (scroll down to the ‘Administrative Forms and Applications’ box).
  3. Complete the application form, remembering to upload your accepted supporting evidence and click ‘Submit’.

The review of your application may take up to six weeks. You will be notified by email of the outcome upon the completion of the review. The status of your application will appear on the ‘Learning Resources’ page under ’Submitted Applications’.
